    The Great Wall is a Chinese fortification built by the end of the 14th century until the beginning of the 17th century, during the Ming Dynasty, in order to protect China from raids by the Mongol and Turkish tribes. The wall stretches 8851.8 km, is the largest in size human edifice. One of the most famous urban legends wants the Great Wall is visible from space.
