Roanoke Island

Roanoke Island, is an island located in Dare County, just off the North Carolina coast, the United States. Peninsula extends about 12 miles (19 km) at a rate of 3 miles (5 km), and has a population of 6724 in the 2000 census.


Island located along the United States in the main highway from the mainland of North Carolina. Combines the island between entertainment features with historical sites and outdoor theater to form one of the main tourist attractions in the province.


Roanoke Island is one of the oldest English islands. Water surrounds the island is relatively quiet corridors with the waterfront of the city and harbor distinctive opportunities to eat outdoors with fun shopping shops unconventionality of jewelry, art, coastal, gifts and decorations. In addition to the possibility of eating fresh food in local restaurants or cooking at home from fresh harvest of crabs and shellfish fish.
