Lake Travis in central Texas in the United States

       Lake Travis is a reservoir on the Colorado River in Central Texas in the United States. This constitutes the reservoir in 1942 through the construction of a dam Mansfield on the western edge of Austin, Texas by the Colorado River. Lake Travis has the largest storage capacity of the seven reservoirs known as the Highland Lakes, stretching about 65 miles (105 km) west of the river from the Travis County in the south of Burnet County to fill Max Stark, south-west of the town of Marble Falls. The lake used for flood control, water supply, power generation and recreation. Other reservoirs on the Colorado River is Lake Buchanan, Inks Lake, Lake LBJ, Lake Marble Falls, Lake Austin and Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake).

    South Lake Travis area is home to a number of restaurants and exclusive shopping and unique with different types of local business owners.


     Lake Travis is located 20 miles to the west of the bustling city of Austin, which lies between a strong set of hills with some recreational activities. This is a region of relatively isolated areas as the basic and attractive new residential developments mainstay. Lake Travis serve as a viable option for those who want to live in the fertile land, the beautiful natural environment.

     

      Lake Travis has a relatively mild climate year round. It has a mild winter with low humidity   levels despite the fact that the summer can be hot. The average rainfall is about 32.1. Temperatures range from the mid 70 degrees to 90 degrees in the middle of the summer and 40 to 70 degrees during the winter. Average daily temperature hovering at 78 degrees, making the lake enjoying the scenery laevis fun.
